Labcorp seeks a full-time Lab Assistant for the blood bank at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. The role involves receiving, sorting, and preparing clinical specimens while performing data entry and equipment maintenance on a second shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing
• Perform specimen and patient data entry and scanning
• Monitor lab equipment functionality and conduct routine maintenance
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and maintain test bench supplies
• Ensure clean, safe work environment and complete administrative documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months or more medical, clinical, or lab work experience
• Ability to handle biological specimens and accurately identify them
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking ability
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods
